About
Our Story
Established in 2022, the Business Council of Norfolk Island (BCNI) was founded to fill the gap of a dedicated peak body representing the interests of local businesses. As a non-political and neutral organisation, we advocate for a strong, sustainable, and prosperous business environment for all legitimate enterprises on the island.
The BCNI supports, represents, and advocates for businesses by providing networking opportunities, resources, and a collective voice to drive economic growth. More than just a voice for business owners, we welcome individuals who have a passion for entrepreneurship, island economics, and business development. Whether you own a business or simply enjoy engaging with economic matters, we offer a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
We are also the go-to organisation for all off-island associations and interested parties seeking to connect with Norfolk Island’s business community. Our officeholders are elected annually and generously volunteer their time, ensuring that BCNI remains a dynamic and committed advocate for Norfolk Island’s economic future.
